Advocacy: MAA members help shape Georgia health policy, weighing in on key issues facing medicine by creating resolutions that impact every aspect of patient care delivery, the business and medicine of healthcare, and physician wellness.

Authorship: MAA members have the opportunity to publish work in Atlanta Medicine, published 6 times annually and distributed to all Atlanta physicians.

Community Service: MAA offers opportunities to participate in community based service initiatives, and also provides a space for members to promote and expand awareness to personal causes and service efforts.

Education: The MAA hosts individual and joint meetings with other associations to educate colleagues and the public about timely issues. The MAA also shares regular CME opportunities.

Impact: MAA is the largest delegation to The Medical Association of Georgia (MAG), so our member voices are always heard. Members can serve as delegates and participate in MAG's policy-setting House of Delegates and its annual Legislative Seminar.

Media Opportunities: MAA members can participate in media interviews or contribute bylined content to publications, including quarterly MAA journals or weekly MAA news briefs. MAA members can also make use of the MAA’s social media channels.

Member Discounts: MAA offers discounts on professional liability insurance through The Doctors Company, insurance solutions through MAG Mutual, Financial Wellness "Check-Up" and/or Second Opinion through Truist, other MAA sponsor deals, and discounts to various Atlanta activities and events. Networking & Leadership: Members have access to MAA-sponsored events that provide exclusive networking opportunities to members working in various disciplines and settings. MAA also offers Atlanta medical student and resident members financial support and stipends, opportunities to participate in the Georgia Physicians Leadership Academy, or further ways to make connections through the MAA Mentor Program.

Physician Referral Network/Career Center: MAA offers an online directory tool to find physicians by location, name or specialty for easy referrals among MAA members. Whether you are looking to hire or seeking a new opportunity for yourself, the MAA Career Center also offers convenient job search tools that will assist you with your employment needs.

Wellness Program: MAA members receive four free and confidential sessions of high quality counseling and resources to address normal life difficulties and receive support toward better well-being, resilience, and growth.
